The premium content, which will launch on July 25, will introduce new intimate interactions, such as hugging and flirty dancing. Additionally, Sims will be able to engage in non-monogamous relationships and create profiles on the game’s new fictional dating app, Cupid’s Corner.
The pack, priced at $39.99 at launch, will also add a new neighborhood, Ciudad Enamorada, described as a “swoon-worthy” romantic world. “Your Sims can search for the best spot to try out the romantic blanket in the city gardens, dance until dawn at their favorite nightclub, or even experience the beautiful simplicity of sitting together and watching the stars,” EA says.
As with all expansions, Lovestruck will bring new clothing options, furniture, and more. One of the new additions is a heart-shaped bed, a nod to the series’ first expansion pack, Livin’ Large, which introduced the “WooHoo” option to the game.
Dating will also be revamped, with each Sim having traits that can influence their romantic connections. The expansion allows Sims to explore non-monogamy, allowing for multiple simultaneous romantic encounters.
The Sims 4 is known for its pro-LGBTQ+ features, better representing the diversity of society. Last year, the series introduced an expansion that added more customization options for trans Sims, including surgery scars on the top, breast braces, and shapewear. Pronoun options were added following a petition from Twitch streamer Momo Misfortune in 2021.
