Batekoo announces date for its festival in 2024!

With tickets on sale, the party promises 12 hours of intense celebration, music and art.

Batekoo, the largest platform thinking about and proposing entertainment, culture and education by and for the black and LGBTQI+ community in Brazil, celebrates a decade of existence and announces the third edition of its already well-known festival. With tickets on sale, the party promises 12 hours of intense celebration, music and art. It will be on November 23, 2024, from 6 pm to 6 am, in São Paulo.

In a scenario where many events face cancellations and postponements, Batekoo reaffirms its commitment to the scene, especially based on black, peripheral, urban and LGBTQIA+ culture. “We want to highlight, especially at this moment, the importance of having festivals held by those who move and produce cultural scenes despite the lack of investment and sponsorship – which are even more scarce when we talk about black platforms. In another edition of our festival, we will continue with a curation based on our 10 years of experience in dialogue with different black narratives in Brazil and around the world”, says Artur Santoro, cultural agitator and partner at Batekoo.

Catch the weather!

This year, the tone of the programming, which will be led by black artists from different regions of the country, appears in honor of the community that transformed the platform into a true and iconic multicultural movement dedicated to acting as an instrument of social transformation, subverting structures and finding new paths within Brazilian productions. The event will feature three stages, covering plural sounds and a series of training cycles. The objective, always, is to promote connections between Afro-diasporic communities.

Maurício Sacramento, CEO, founder and creative director of Batekoo, highlights: “This celebration was carefully thought out to replicate the experiences in which our community gathers to celebrate their identities, something that BATEKOO has been doing for the last 10 years across the country and Mainly celebrating the network that makes our universe possible in all this time as a brand. Staying ahead as a company led by black people is a constant struggle, but we remain firm because we know that on the other side there is a community that, in addition to the experiences, shares the same purposes”.
