The artist was saved by his mother, who covered him and dragged him to the trees, where they could hide from enemy bullets.
“It was in the city of Aleppo in Syria, around 1984. One day my mother decided to take me to school, there the snipers started on the roofs Mom covered me, lay on the ground started crawling towards the peach tree that growing on the street We hid under this tree, I was covered in blood because of the scratches from the asphalt, but we were smiling, sitting under the peach.
The singer added that he regrets that in the 21st century children have to live in war conditions.
“When ATO started, and I learned about the bombing in Popasna and how the children there survived, it was a test for me, I remember being a boy under fire, and, of course, the blackouts that happened in Aleppo , when they killed all these hardships of the war that I experienced 30 years ago, I feel now as an adult I did not think that these two ancient cities – Kyiv and Aleppo, both of which have a thousand-year history were stoned and destroyed in the 21st century,” – he added.
