British actor Ian McKellen, who played the wizard Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings film series, was hospitalized after falling from the stage. The BBC reported it.
It is known that the incident happened during a performance by the Player Kings group in London. The actor participated in the riot scene, but lost his balance and fell in front of the audience, moaning in pain. After the accident, the star was taken to the hospital, and the performance was canceled.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident left him “in shock,” but the actor remained conscious.
A theater spokesman said Ian underwent tests and doctors assured him he would “make a speedy recovery.”
