The special program of the Festa de Favela was developed by the afrocommunication agency Elo Negro, with the aim of representing the LGBT+ diversity present in the outskirts of São Paulo. Musical attractions include funk singer Kalef Castro and MC Jupi77er, who will present pocket versions of their shows.

Peripheral poetry will be represented by Naiá Curumin, known as Trava da Oeste, and there will be an artistic intervention by poet and graffiti artist Daniel Cruz. The event will close with the Batalha da Matrix tram, while the breaks will be entertained by Bahian multi-artist DJ Igonna.

Doug Moura, founder and strategy and new business leader at Elo Negro, highlights the importance of celebrating the diversity present in the LGBT+ community of peripheral artists. “It is an urgent and necessary movement to rethink society and propose narratives that oppose cisnormativity, offering more human, inclusive and diverse paths. These are bodies and stories that suffered (and still suffer) with violence and erasure simply for being what they are.”

Elo Negro is an Afrocommunication agency that proposes a new way of operating in the public relations market, working exclusively to expand the legacy of black people. The agency produced the communication strategy for the event and has already carried out several works focused on Afro-entrepreneurship.
