Artist from Minas Gerais releases track that combats prejudice and exalts the purity of feeling
The song shows how love doesn’t hurt and doesn’t even intend to hurt or disrespect. However, the singer highlights how, in reality, many people still try to prevent same-sex love.
This is yet another original composition by the artist and carries a strongly personal experience. “I have had my partner for over 3 years and I know how our love nourishes us and does us good, but at the same time we face many difficulties when we leave our ‘private universe’ and come into contact with the outside world. The looks of judgment, verbal aggression, the invalidation of our relationship, the objectification for being two women, so all these feelings gave rise to ‘Love for Two’ in a very natural way”, he says.
The visual aesthetic
Always seeking to connect the message of the music with the visuals of the work, this time was no different. The artist brought a different aesthetic to the project, represented by the metamorphosis of a butterfly. “I interact with both the cocoon and the butterfly. This aspect represents the difficulty and beauty of the process of developing love between two people of the same sex. In this way, just as it is difficult for a caterpillar to transform into a butterfly, it is difficult for love among these people thrive due to all the prejudice suffered. So, when love wins, it’s like the blossoming of a beautiful butterfly. And we use a bow to represent the wings, because bows are super popular in haute couture”, says the singer.
She also adds: “The visual identity of ‘Amor a Duas’ made me very proud, the photos and the lyric video were incredible. We managed to convey the purity and lightness that is love.”
Regarding expectations for the release, the artist states: “Always positive, because the work is connected and visually beautiful. This song brings an angelic and fantastic vibe at the same time, so I’m very excited for the reception from my fans and public”, ends.
