Mister Trans Brasil elects its new representative

Once again, São Paulo (SP) hosted the Mister Trans Brasil competition, in an iconic edition, full of talents and stories from across the country, along with the representation of international candidates. The contest lasted three days, with tests such as Popularity, Talent, Top Model and the memorable final night parades.

Three winners were crowned on the final night. The new Mister Trans Brasil is Akin Zahin, candidate from Minas Gerais, singer, composer and multi-artist, who brought powerful experiences from his life, serving as a reference of affection, including for transmasculine families.

In the state edition, the representative of Jardim Ângela, Daniell Bass, 23 years old, born in São Paulo, was crowned. To close with a flourish, the international edition awarded Yuri dos Anjos, demonstrating great determination, participating since the first edition in 2021 and never giving up on his dream until he won the award.

Mister Trans Brasil is based on pillars of representation within the transgender sphere, focusing on transmasculinities, with the aim of electing representatives at state, national and international levels.

The contest proposal arose from the need to break paradigms about the representation of beauty, traditionally aimed at cisgender people, especially in the fashion industry. It opens up a space for political intervention in relation to transgender bodies and creates new references of beauty.

Mister Trans Brasil is the largest meeting of transmasculinities in the country, expanding the scope of their experiences and becoming an example and reference for other trans men. It brings together realities, experiences and life experiences of transmasculines from all over the country in a confinement based on awareness, with formative conversation circles and expressiveness.
