A survey by the Gleeden platform revealed that 70% of heterosexuals who use the application believe that all people would be bisexual if it weren’t for moral, cultural and religious issues. The data was collected to mark the International Day for the Fight Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia, celebrated on May 17th and celebrated in Brazil since 2010.

Furthermore, they show that 45% of heterosexuals have considered having a homosexual relationship; 18% have already had a homosexual relationship; and 20% have had sex with a person of the same gender.

The numbers reveal significant insight into the fluidity of sexuality, highlighting how external factors can influence people’s sexual orientation. The research suggests that without the restrictions imposed by social norms and personal beliefs, the expression of sexuality could be more varied – which is what the LGBT+ movement has been saying for decades.
