The 2024 Paris Olympics will begin on July 26. This year, in addition to traditional sports, the program will include medals in breakdancing.
The first Olympic breakdancing competition will take place this year. A total of 32 people will compete – 16 men and 16 women. It was reported by Radio France Internationale (RFI).
The breakdance battles will take place on August 9 and 10 at the Place de la Concorde in the heart of Paris.
In particular, the 2022 European breakdancing champion Denis Civil (Dany Dann) will participate from France – he hopes to become one of the first Olympic medalists in history.
Dann will compete in the Olympics with three other French breakdancers who have not yet qualified.
Let us remind you that earlier the mayor of Paris said that it would be better if the Russians did not participate in the Olympics.
