Speaking to a military veteran undergoing chemotherapy for testicular cancer, the monarch admitted he had lost his sense of taste.
King Charles has revealed that he lost his sense of taste while being treated for cancer. The Daily Mail reported this.
In particular, the monarch visited the Army Aircraft Museum in Hampshire. She was accompanied by her eldest son Prince William. During the conversation, British Army veteran Aaron Maplebeck said that last year he underwent chemotherapy for testicular cancer and lost his sense of taste, to which the king replied that the same had happened to him.
Charles III announced his cancer diagnosis in February of this year. Before this, Prince William’s father underwent surgery due to an enlarged prostate.
Buckingham Palace has yet to disclose details of the royal’s treatment, and royal officials say only that he is being treated for a type of cancer unknown to the general public.
The sovereign and heir to the throne made a rare joint appearance at the museum, where Charles officially made his son Commander-in-Chief of the Army Air Corps.
It was previously reported that British King Charles III admitted that he was shocked when he learned about his illness.
