It’s no surprise that this is the most popular tour of his career. And now, with the title “Bloco na Rua – Ginga pra Dar & Vender”, the event has received a new shine to celebrate this milestone. “Ginga” is a term that appeared in reference to the show “Bloco na Rua” in some texts in the Brazilian media. In the dictionary, it is defined as “action or effect of swinging the body with dexterity, mischief and ease; shaking”.
Although “ginga” captures the essence of the show, to describe the multiverse and plurality of Ney Matogrosso it would be necessary to have a dictionary dedicated exclusively to him. “I closely follow all the movements in the music market, I see groups forming and bands saying goodbye to the stage too. But today, at 82 years old, my speech is different: I have ginga to give and sell”, comments the artist.
