Writer JK Rowling says she will never forgive Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson for their stance on the transgender debate. The Daily Mail reported this.
According to him, the actors who played the main roles in the Harry Potter films use their social networks to encourage minors to change their gender.
Rowling actively opposes allowing children to change gender, while Radcliffe and Watson are outspoken supporters of the trans community.
The announcement comes after leading paediatrician, Dr Hillary Cass, released a report which said teenagers in the UK were being allowed to change their gender based on “very weak evidence”.
In his report, Dr Cass warned there was a “lack of high-quality research” on the effects of giving children puberty blockers and hormones, and said the toxicity of the debate around the issue had been “exceptional”.
Following the publication of his report, many people who raised concerns about allowing children to move said they were vindicated, including comedy author Graham Linehan, who lost his career, wife, friends and reputation because of his views.
In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the report was published, Rowling wrote that it was a “watershed” moment and that it “exposed the tragedy” of allowing children to change gender.
“Celebrities who joined a movement aimed at destroying women’s rights, and used their platforms to support the migration of minors, can apologize to traumatized and vulnerable women. And if I sound angry, it’s because I’m angry.” “Irreversible damage has been done to children and thousands are complicit, not just medical professionals, but also celebrity mouthpieces, uncontroversial media outlets and cynical corporations,” she wrote.
The writer says that the consequences of this scandal will manifest themselves in decades.
“You supported it. You did everything you could to disrupt and distort the results of the research. You tried to intimidate people into firing them from their jobs for speaking out against you. Young people experimented and left barren and suffering from disease,” the author explained.
It was previously reported that British writer and philanthropist JK Rowling showed her 12-year-old fan kidnapped by Hamas militants.
