Ukrainian singer and presenter Vladimir Dantes became a victim of scammers. He spoke about it on Instagram.
According to the showman, the unpleasant incident occurred in early 2024. In January, unknown people from Barcelona began to withdraw money from his personal card in different ways. Fraudsters managed to write off more than 100 thousand hryvnias from the account.
What happened, the reason for this was the carelessness of the singer, who once threw his broken mobile phone abroad. As a result, the attackers discovered him and gained access to the artist’s data.
“This story happened on January 20 at the Kiev station. I told Dasha (Katsurin, – ed.) documents and at that moment a lot of money began to be taken from me. The truth is that someone used my cards in Barcelona to buy something in a store. I’m fucking crazy. Cards are blocked. What was the problem? Lesha (Durnev) and I were on tour a year and a half ago in Poland. And my phone crashed, I could barely transfer the data to a new phone, and I just threw it away. As it turned out, it could not be done, because someone saw it and after a year or a year and a half the access was restored and started to buy something in Barcelona with my cards,” said Vladimir Dantes.
As a result, after three months of legal red tape, the story ended with the return of all stolen funds.
