The star stressed that she would never agree to play a Russian woman because of her moral convictions.
Hollywood actress of Ukrainian origin Ivanna Sakhno has terminated her contract with Netflix. The reason for this was his refusal to play a character with a Russian past in one of the projects.
The star noted that he does not have the right to disclose some details, but noted that concluding a stimming contract is not a cheap pleasure. Therefore, he will have to give 50% of his earnings from another series.
If an actor from Ukraine is offered to play Russians, then his team knows about his clear pro-Ukrainian position, so now they no longer offer him such projects.
“Of course, my team knew and immediately said no. I had a moment, I was involved in a series on Netflix. During the Covid. It was the role of a Russian woman. It was the role of an American, but she had a background from the Soviet Union. I was already attached to this project because at that time it was one of the first leading roles in a big series on Netflix. Filming hadn’t started yet when it was closed because of Covid. And I realized that I can’t play someone even from the Soviet Union. “I broke the contract with Netflix. I had some problems. I can’t talk about it officially, I still owe them. The next job I do at Netflix, I owe 50% of my salary,” explained Ivanna Sakhno in an interview for TSN.
The actress noted that today Russia is represented less in Hollywood.
Earlier it was reported that Ivanna Sakhno became the main character of the Hozier video.
