The late musician’s mother died in September 2023 as a result of a stroke at the age of 76.

The father of Andrei Kuzmenko (Kuzma) Victor for the first time named the cause of death of his wife Olga Mikhailovna, who died in September 2023. He spoke about this in an interview at Breakfast on 1+1.

Viktor Kuzmenko admitted that the woman died as a result of a stroke. He spent more than six months in the hospital, where doctors tried to stabilize his condition.

“He was overcome by a serious illness. He was in the hospital in Lviv for seven months. He had a stroke. After that, the doctors indicated that they were powerless and helpless. Then he was in the house of another three weeks and had a second stroke. The ambulance took him to intensive care, and on the second day he was gone,” he said.

Now Kuzma’s father continued his joint venture with his wife: they had a workshop where they created decorative angels and bells from ceramics.

The late singer’s father also recalled how his son wrote the song Mom. Kuzma showed his parents the track when it was ready.

“He used to drive from Ivano-Frankivsk and always chose the roads that allowed him to get home faster. And then somehow he drifted along the old road into the forest. It was late, the logging trucks , the fire started: the Peats were burning, there was smoke. Said: “I’m afraid that I might not see my mother.” And during that short time, that text matured,” recalls Viktor Kuzmenko.

Earlier it was reported that Maria-Barbara Kuzmenko published archival photos with her father on the day of Andrei Kuzmenko’s death.
