The singer of the hit Lost On You posted on his Instagram a gift from a Russian fan club – a hoodie with a ship in the colors of the Russian flag.
American singer Laura Pergolizzi, known as LP, has appealed to Ukrainians after her concert in Lithuania was canceled because of a tricolor hoodie. In particular, on his Instagram page he published a video in which he apologized to fans and expressed support for Ukraine.
“I want to apologize to my friends and fans in Ukraine, who were rightly hurt and offended by my thoughtless message where I thanked some Russian fans for the hoodie they made me with the logo and flag of Russia. I deeply regret my indifference to this time. It was a serious mistake. I’m very sorry. I want to make it clear that I love and support Ukraine and I will always do so,” he said.
He also noted that two years after Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine needs international support more than ever.
“My message is and will always be love and support for the Ukrainian people. Please accept my humble apology, Ukraine. I sincerely apologize, please know that I am always worried about you, loved and supported you. Glory to Ukraine, “the star concluded.
