Canadian actor Kenneth Mitchell, who starred in the TV series Star Trek: Discovery and the movie Captain Marvel, has died. His family announced the sad news on Instagram.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Kenneth Mitchell, a beloved father, husband, brother, uncle, son and dear friend,” the celebrity family said in a statement.
It is known that the artist died on February 24 after a long illness.
In 2018, Mitchell was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. It is a serious disease that affects the musculoskeletal system. Since October 2019, Kenneth has been moving with the help of a wheelchair, and in 2021 the artist could not speak due to illness.
As for his personal life, the actor has been married to his colleague Susan May Pratt since 2006. The couple has two children – a 16-year-old daughter and an 11-year-old son which is male.
During his career, the actor starred in 50 films and on television.
