Greta Gerwig became Time magazine’s Woman of the Year. In addition to him, there are 11 more representatives of various professions on the list.
American screenwriter and director Greta Gerwig has been “Woman of the Year” by TIME magazine. The publication’s official website reports this.
It is known that she topped the list of 12 women awarded this award. That’s because her movie Barbie grossed over $1.4 billion, making it the highest-grossing release directed by a woman.

Greta herself is not included in the list of directors competing for the award in the profile category, nor is the main character of the film based on the Mattel toy of the same name, Margot Robbie.
In an interview with the publication, Gerwig admitted that she was not upset by this decision, but was happy that the film received recognition from the audience.
“Of course I want to [номинирована] is Margot. But I’m just happy that we’re all together,” she said.
