The musician has been actively supporting the people of Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

During a recent concert in Las Vegas, the frontman of the Irish rock band U2 Bono called on Americans to support the Ukrainians who are fighting for freedom in the war with Russia. The corresponding video from the concert was published on Instagram by the United 24 fundraising platform.

In particular, the artist recalled that soon – on February 24, 2024 – the entire war in our country will be two years old. He also added that Ukrainians are fighting for the freedom of the whole world, and if we stop helping, Russia will occupy the following countries.

“America, you are so generous! But let’s give these people everything they need. Because they are fighting for our freedom, not just theirs. Next week will be two years since Putin invaded Ukraine, trying to destroy their freedom that 41 million people have worked for. Next could be Poland, Lithuania, East Germany. Who knows where this person will go next. Or not go,” Bono said.

Bono also emphasized that Ukrainians are fighting for freedom at great cost.

“For these people, freedom is not just a word from a song. For these people, freedom is the most important word in the world. It is very important that Ukrainians fight and die for it,” added the musician .
