He collaborated with many theaters, particularly the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. In September 2023, visiting Odessa again, he performed Puccini’s opera La Bohème.

Japanese conductor Yoshida Hirofumi launched a fundraiser for a concert by a Ukrainian orchestra from Odessa in his country. NHK WORLD reported this.

Since 2021, Yoshida has been the principal guest conductor of the Odessa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. He decided to launch the project after performing an opera at the theater in September 2023.

Through music, he seeks to encourage Ukrainians and hopes that people in Japan will “share inspiration with the musicians of Odessa” through music, and also learn more about the situation in Ukraine.

Fundraising will last until February 29 on the Readyfor platform. Hirofumi plans to raise about $200,000. The money will be spent on travel for the 80 members of the orchestra, rental of the concert venue and other expenses related to the project.

We remind you that it was previously reported that a theater will be opened in Kyiv in Troyeshchyna.
