Singer Nattan announced a break in his career to treat a health problem
The singer from Ceará Nathan announced a break in his career to treat a health problem. The artist said that the issue is even damaging his voice.
In a video published on his Instagram profile, he explained his decision and said that he is following medical recommendations.
“This is the time to stop, this is the time to take care of myself, this is the time to get together with the people, with the doctors who are following me to really see what treatment to do. I want to return to you safely, I I want to come back to you when my voice is 100%, singing, bringing this joy that you will always see, as I always said here in my heart and in my songs and that’s fine. Take care of myself, see each point, if it’s a point allergic, if it is a point of reflux, take care of it, but it will only come back well”, he said.
Nattan said that the story began three months ago, when he was diagnosed with H-Pylori and needed to take antibiotics. The medications gave him reflux, which he was unable to treat and caused edema in his vocal cords. The condition developed severe hoarseness and aphonia in cases of great exertion for a long time.
“I arrived at the show with my voice perfectly fine, with the speech therapist right by my side, and 20 minutes or 30 minutes into the show my voice disappeared completely, out of nowhere. I couldn’t sing, I couldn’t come back. […] It’s very painful for a singer who wants to sing on stage, wants to express himself there in such a happy moment and couldn’t sing”he explained.
Nattan asked for understanding from his fans and thanked him for the affection he receives daily from his admirers.
“I ask here for understanding from one of you. To help me, to embrace me in this cause, whoever really loves, whoever really understands, the fans who are with me”he said.
