He said he “wanted to show how the Israeli government violates international law” and said that a Palestinian child arrested by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is treated differently than an Israeli child detained by IDF soldiers .
The 28-year-old actress, who has been the face of Maybelline and now fronts Versace campaigns, said she condemns violence against all people.
“The desire for freedom and humane treatment for the Palestinians and the desire for security for the Jews can be important to both people – including me,” he said.
But then he moved on to accusing Israel of human rights abuses and highlighting years of Israeli abuses. He did not mention the October 7 attack or the current hostage situation.
