The Ukrainian representative noted that the Russian participant was less provocative than last year.
Angelina Usanova, the representative of Ukraine in the Miss Universe beauty contest, admitted that she had a dialogue with the Russian woman, which took place off camera. He spoke about this in an interview with Alina Shamanskaya.
He noted that during the competition they did not have any conflicts, but one day the Russian contestant Margarita Golubeva approached him and said: “I am here in peace.”
They have no dialogue. However, Angelina Usanova admitted that she made it clear to him that she was grateful for these words, but there was no communication between them.
The Ukrainian also spoke about how he was treated by the organizers of the competition. The beauty admitted that she felt complete disregard for her person.
However, he added that he could not raise the topic of war, because the competition was bankrupt, so the organizers were only interested in attracting investors and sponsors.
“I think maybe they were afraid to raise the subject of the war. I felt they were ignored. They filmed a little, showed little interest. Even in the last interview, which influenced the top 20, there were strange questions,” Angelina said.
It was previously reported that the winner of the Miss Universe 2023 contest, Shanice Palacios from Nicaragua, is involved in a high-profile political scandal.
