According to the star, he wanted to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, but was told to wait.
Ukrainian actor Dmitry Sova joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to the front to defend his land from the Russian invaders. He spoke about this in an interview with KP.UA.
He admitted that he had planned to do so at the beginning of a full-scale invasion of Russia. Together with their mother-in-law, they went to the military registration and enlistment office, where they were given summonses and told to wait.
“At the very beginning of the full-scale war, my father-in-law and I immediately went to the military registration and enlistment office, we were given a summons, but that was all. Then nothing is really clear, these are the first days. There was such a stir that, as far as I remember now, the summonses they gave us, but we weren’t officially registered anywhere,” said the actor.
While waiting for an answer from the military registration and enlistment office, Dmitry Sova began to volunteer, and then served in the TrO. In the end, the artist went to the military registration and enlistment office a second time, where he was told that they would call him.
“I went to the military registration and enlistment office again, but when they found out what my specialty was, they said: “Wait, we’ll call you.” Then I asked again – what, when and how. And so, at the end of June they called me and said: “Dmitry Pavlovich, take the calls.” I called my friends in different departments for advice, because I wanted to go to my boys,” said the star of the series Village of a Million.
Dmitry also said that all this time he was preparing for the service. He studied military affairs and medicine. In addition, the artist bought equipment and weapons.
“I didn’t just sit there. I found out where and what was happening, where I could go for free with tactics and drugs. So, before the exercises, I understood these issues better. I had three sets the clothes are already assembled, my armored armor, helmet. I even bought my own weapon. My husband and my friends gave me a GoPro camera and a small training FPV drone for my birthday. So I took it this drone and I will try to master it,” he concluded.
Earlier it was reported that the actor Pavel Aldoshin responded to the annoying statements of the former people’s deputy and philologist Irina Farion.
