The influencer defended “real bodies” and reflected on the pressure from social media
Vivian Amorim She used her social media to deny rumors that she was pregnant and stated that she had just gained weight. The influencer took the moment to vent about aesthetic pressure on the web and called for the normalization of “real bodies”.
“I’m not going to be a hypocrite, okay? Because if you ask me, I’ll say that I feel prettier when I’m thinner. Maybe I’ll go back to the gym soon. Maybe I want to lose weight again. But that’s a decision that’s up to me alone. Everyone has their own process, their time, their choices,” started.
“This is my body after so many transformations: I had a daughter, I turned thirty and I respect all of that. But, if it depends on the comments I read and the influence of many, many women who undergo lipo nowadays as if it were a simple, common surgery, I would have had surgery a long time ago”, he spoke.
“Then, yesterday, unfortunately, we were all surprised by the news that an influencer had complications due to liposuction and unfortunately died. How sad, my God, so young, full of life. I would like to take this opportunity to leave here my sincere condolences to her family and fiancé,” continued.
“Now I ask how many of us have gone on crazy diets or taken weight loss pills, how many of us have thought about having liposuction to please others or fit into standards. I’m not saying that this was her case, but her case invites us to reflect”, scored.
“I also carry a life in my arms that depends on my life, so today for me it’s not worth the risk. What I want to say with all of this, people: stop demanding perfection from other people. Stop judging others on the Internet. This can kill,” he added.
“Be kinder to yourself, cover yourself less. Assess the risks before undergoing any aesthetic procedure, no matter how simple it may seem. It’s not wrong to want to change something, okay? I myself always wanted to have an operation on my nose and I still want to, but we must do it consciously and voluntarily and not for others”, she finished.
