Jolie sold her share of the winery without her ex-husband’s consent in October 2021 for $67 million.
Hollywood actor Brad Pitt published an email from Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler to Angelina Jolie. The DailyMail reports this.
In particular, the screen star accuses the Russian of conspiring with his ex-husband during the heated struggle for the Chateau Miraval winery. Therefore, he presented the letter to the court as evidence that there was a strong connection between them.
The letter is dated May 2022. In it, the Russian oligarch accuses Pitt of trying to “sabotage” their deal, and also invites Jolie to visit his home on the Tulchan estate in Scotland’s Speyside region – months after she signed over half of the vineyard to him.
“In this letter, I want to thank you for the agreement we have entered into. I am pleased with the agreement, despite the current differences with Pitt over his attempts to sabotage and prevent the signing of the shareholders’ agreement. However, I hope that we will be reliable partners and enjoy from a joint business. If you need my help, please contact me by phone. My invitation to visit my Tulchan estate in Scotland remains open to you and your children at any time,” Scheffler wrote.
It was previously reported that Angelina Jolie publicly ridiculed her ex-husband over the Chateau Miraval winery in France.
