It is a slightly modified version of the third generation Dacia Sandero Stepway for select markets. It will be released in Brazil and Morocco.
The new Renault Kardian was presented in Brazil. This is a budget compact crossover that will go into production before the end of the year and will replace the Renault Sandero Stepway. This is stated on Renault’s official website.
The Renault crossover is 4116 mm long, 1750 mm wide and 1535 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2604 mm.
The trapezoidal grille is combined with “double-deck” headlights, and the C-shaped lights are inspired by the Renault Captur. The car has a short body overhang and a curved window line, and the lower part of the car is covered with a protective plastic body kit.
The interior of the Renault Kardian mostly repeats the interior of the Dacia Sandero Stepway, but it has a new steering wheel and a miniature gearbox joystick. Top versions received a virtual instrument panel and an 8-inch touchscreen. The volume of the trunk is 410 liters.
In addition, the budget Renault crossover received options inherent in more expensive cars. These are all-round cameras, wireless Android Auto, adaptive cruise control, automatic braking and blind spot monitoring system.
The Renault Kardian 2024 has a 1.0-liter petrol turbo engine with 125 hp. and a 6-speed robotic gearbox with two clutches. A version with factory HBO should come out later.
