Betina Polaroidparticipant of Drag Race Brazilhas been gaining prominence on the web due to the prominence it has gained in the reality show, which was inspired by the success RuPaul’s Drag Race.
“I had the luck — or the talent — to go viral in the first episode with the verse ‘come to Betina Polaroid’s studio’, from the song ‘Festa com Mozão’, written by the participants in the first challenge”, he said.
“I went to the dubbing battle, at risk of elimination, and another meme came up: the hero pose, in one of my dance moves, resulted in a well-shared static,” he spoke.
“In the third episode, I posted photos on social media of a look made of Polaroids inspired by a Gisele Bündchen dress. In the last one, I won the library’s mini challenge, a classic,” continued.
Betina also spoke about the selection process for the reality show: “In the first stage, we have to fill out a long registration form. Guidelines are then sent for the audition video, which must follow a specific script including answers to an interview, display of costumes, lip sync performances and celebrity impersonations.”
“The following steps are confidential. Confirmation of selection for the cast came a few months after registration”, explained.
“There are many challenges. The preparation time to produce the looks for the proposed challenges is short. Being isolated from the world, without a cell phone, without internet, without television or any means of communication is maddening”, scored.
“It was very difficult not being able to talk to my husband and having no news. It’s a real race, like a big competition for drag queens, where we have to be ready and willing to do anything every day, with creativity, willingness and without losing our good humor” , reflected.
