“I’ve already started recording and expectations are high (laughs). The cast is incredible and I’m very excited to be able to work with true giants of television drama,” said the actor who worked on several soap operas on Globo.
He, who has played Mufasa in the musical King Lion in São Paulo, talked about how he is balancing the project with recording the HBO soap opera
“It’s not easy, but I like challenges! I am taking care of the health of my voice and body. I sought assistance from an ENT and a speech therapist to take care of the health of my voice. There are seven performances of the Lion King per week, from Wednesday to Sunday. When the body is tired, we can give it some gas, but the voice cannot… it needs technique and care to maintain health during this process. I exercise daily and the monitoring has already had an effect. But I’m very happy to be able to combine two passions: musical theater and audiovisual. The Lion King is the biggest musical in the world and Beleza Fatal is HBO’s first soap opera. It’s a blessing to be part of two projects like this,” explained.
Drayson said that he is eager to give ‘spoilers’ about his character, but that he cannot give many details yet. “I’m dying to talk, but I still can’t say much. What I can say is that Marcelo is a surgeon, an excellent professional, honest and elegant.”said.
