“His family gathered to celebrate his 77th birthday on October 16th. But they will celebrate his extraordinary life and want to thank the millions of fans and followers who loved him so much,” said the publicist of Somers in a statement to the publication on behalf of the actress’ family.
There will also be a private family funeral this week and a memorial service in November, according to Suzanne’s rep.
In July, Somers announced on Instagram that she had experienced a recurrence of breast cancer for the first time since she was diagnosed in 2000.
