Alyosha and Taras Topolya are raising two sons – nine-year-old Roman and seven-year-old Mark, as well as a two-year-old daughter Maria.
The leader of the Antitela group, Taras Topolya, shared how he and his wife Alyosha saved their marriage during the war. He spoke about this in an interview with the Voice of America.
As you know, at the beginning of a large-scale war, the artist, together with the members of the group, defended the Motherland, and sent his wife and three children to their parents in the USA. And, as the musician admitted, the long separation was not easy. According to Topoli, they owe it to their children.
“Fortunately, we survived. And we survived the long separation. Perhaps, because, despite everything, despite the various problems that arose, and they did arise, we have common children. This is our days, for which, I will not say that we live for them, but in many ways we live for them. We make our usual plans for them,” he said.
The singer added that there is no recipe on how to save a family, however, he noted that many families have been destroyed due to war, separation, aggravation of domestic issues, different views on life and finances.
“In our family, the recipe is that we must rise above all disagreements. Two egoists must turn off the combat mode, turn on the mode of agreement and reconciliation, sometimes turn a blind eye to something, sometimes ask for forgiveness , sometimes forgive. Somehow we survived how “This is how we managed to save the family. Hopefully in the next decades,” concluded Taras Topolya.
It was previously reported that Alyosha explained why he decided to return home.
