24 years after the book was released Cinema Orlywhich caused controversy in the LGBTQIAPN+ community, the work is adapted for theater in Rio de Janeiro.
The narrative tells the author’s story Luis Capucho, known in the world of music, for Cinelândia, the gay hook-up spot in the city center. The book became known in the community due to young men who assumed their sexual orientation after reading the work.
In the play, Teo Pasquini will live on stage some of the episodes narrated in the book, the adaptation of the play was made by Gustavo Colombini and the direction is commanded by Diogo Libertano, which he himself calls scenic performance. The play will premiere next Thursday, 5th, at Glaucio Gill Theaterin Copacabana, in the South Zone of the Flamengo capital.
“In the performance, Teo puts desires and morals, experiences of love and sex into tension, mixing biographies and fictions to celebrate the life of a gay man beyond any norm that would try to frame it”, said Diogo.
