Since finishing her participation in “Cara e Coragem”, the actress Gabriela Loran do not stop. She has just debuted “Novela”, a new series on Amazon Prime; recently finished recording the third season of “Arcanjo Renegado”, which premieres in 2024; and is currently recording a new TNT comedy series, “Body by Beth”, starring Marisa Orth and which focuses on the fitness universe.
But in addition to celebrating the new projects, Gabriela also won a battle off camera. In 2022, she began dietary re-education that changed her life. Taurus and a lifelong fan of exaggerations, she decided to put aside her unbridled eating compulsion, which got much worse after a bout of anxiety developed during the pandemic due to her growth on the internet and other bad things. She then went to look for help.
“I saw food as the best way to compensate for anxiety and take away some of the weight of the things I felt. I started to direct everything I felt in relation to content, in relation to the attacks, in relation to the court’s judgment. from the internet, to food”, said the actress.
After understanding her problem, Gabriela began seeing a nutritionist and personal trainer three times a week, also motivated by her new work. And finally, she dedicated herself to going to the gym every day, something she had never achieved before. Gabriela also underwent nutritional re-education. Even without dieting, she still eats whatever she likes, but with conscience. Little by little, she changed her habits and, after two and a half months, she lost 25kg, dropping from 100kg. Since then, she has maintained her weight with exercise and an intense routine of professional commitments and healthy eating.
“I managed to overcome the compulsion through psychic and mental re-education, as well as food awareness. I say that I didn’t go on a diet and I really didn’t. What I had was a new awareness of what I was eating because how I I’m a Taurus, I feel that eating is one of my greatest privileges and I never stopped eating the things I like because of this pressure. So I relearned how to eat”, said.
Recording a new series that takes place in the context of a gym, Gabriela now believes that the best solution is to find balance. In “Body by Beth”, which will bring conflicts about fad diets, fatphobia, family, ageism and toxic relationships, she will play Cíntia, an acidic gym receptionist, who always has a witty comment about the absurd situations that happen in the place .
“She is the voice of reason in the cast, and has already finished a Nutrition course, so being a receptionist is a temporary job. Cíntia is also a full-time cook and makes light food to deliver in her spare time”said Gabriela.
