“We need to take over the spaces once and for all”

The singer Ghabi invested in a new project focusing on the inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community.

On the night of Thursday the 5th, Rio de Janeiro will host the first edition of the “Honey” party, created by the businesswoman.

As a celebration dedicated to the LGBTQIA+ public, the party will honor the divas of the pop scene and promises to offer an unforgettable musical experience with the presence of talented DJs. Furthermore, the artist herself will be on stage with an exclusive performance, and the night will be enriched with the special participation of names from the community.

According to Ghabi, she has chosen the guests who will perform alongside her with the aim of bringing more visibility to the scene. “I want to give a stage to artists from the LGBTQIA+ scene, as, in fact, I have already been doing in Soho, but now in a more targeted way”, revealed.

The singer stated that her motivation behind the creation of this party was to bring more LGBTQIA+ culture to the heart of Rio’s south zone, demonstrating the importance of occupying large spaces. “I wanted it in the middle of the city and where everything happens as a way of demonstrating to society as a whole, and to the community itself, the importance of occupying spaces outside of ghettos and hellholes”, he stated.

“In a Brazil where Congress has tried to reduce the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community (see the vote to annul civil marriage between same-sex couples), we need to once and for all take the space and normalize the fact that these people are part of the community and deserve have their rights guaranteed”, completed the artist.

With extremely high expectations, Ghabi revealed that she was extremely excited to live this moment. “I want it to be a light, colorful night, full of fun and shine. I’m looking forward to the looks and seeing the crowd singing. I want everyone there! Don’t miss it!”, declared.
