Last Tuesday, the 19th, the Social Security, Social Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family Committee of the Chamber of Deputies discussed the bill that considers banning same-sex stable unions in Brazil.
After much debate, controversy and discussions, the vote was postponed until the 27th and will first undergo a public hearing.
The federal deputy Pastor Henrique Vieirawho was present at the hearing, spoke to the iG Queer and stated that the bill, proposed by Pastor Euricois “appalling”.
“It was an intense day at the Social Security, Assistance, Childhood, Adolescence and Family Commission. This project is appalling, prejudiced, discriminatory and full of hate”, he said.
“As a result of a lot of social mobilization, full emphasis on the LGBTQIA+ community, we managed to postpone the vote once again”, completed.
