The influencer commented on the singer’s victory and angered Anitta’s fans
Last Wednesday, the 13th, Mia Khalifa became a topic on the web after commenting on some of the results of the VMA 2023, among them the influencer questioned Anitta’s victory in the Best Latin Video category, with the song Funk Rave.
For Mia, the Colombian singer, Karol G, should have won in the category: “Karol G was robbed. I’m sorry, but the girl is filling stadiums to capacity – any decision other than to award her is purely political, to appease the audience MTV is trying to reach.”
After Mia’s comment, Anitta’s fans criticized her on social media: “Where are the people who fill stadiums voting for her?”, “It wasn’t stolen. Brazilian fans just voted more. The award should not be made by popular vote.”
“So much drama, Karol G was awarded alongside Shakira and came out as victorious as Anitta”, said another.
