Silla Maria embraced a new social project which transforms jeans into tailoring.
Exclusively to Maximumthe stylist, who uses an authentic and sensitive creation process, using shapes, colors, embroidery and a lot of fashion information, told how she received the invitation to participate in the initiative.
“At the invitation of the Nordestesse platform, which I am currently part of under the command of Daniela Falcão, I accepted the invitation to an event in Brasília, at the Casa da Patricia Vazit was a success and there I met Laura Oliveira and then we talked a lot about the LEVVO project, ‘Jeans for Good'”she said.
The fashion specialist, who has a team of six people, sewing and embroidery, and operates a line of motorcycle courier that takes and brings her productions, opened her heart about how she felt about the challenge.
“For me it was a great challenge, together with my team, to embrace this beautiful cause and bring jeans to life, reconstructing new pieces with style and fashion, using tailoring throughout the process”, she said.
Silla also talked about the work she does in her community. “In my community, I work with my colleagues who, like me, were unemployed during the pandemic when the factory we worked for closed”, said.
“I teach sewing and embroidery finishing. The idea is to expand by the end of the year”,she revealed.
