Grupo Pela Vidda, located in Rio de Janeiro, has opened new vacancies for free psychological care.
The organization seeks to serve members of the LGBTQIAP+ community and people living with HIV/AIDS.
The group was created in 1989 by people who also faced the issues and its mission is to “valorize, integrate and dignity the AIDS patient”, which gave rise to the acronym Vidda.
In its proposal, the initiative seeks to offer a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for its members. Furthermore, promote the defense of the rights of people with HIV/AIDS and the LGBTQIAP+ population.
Services are provided in groups, which aim to reduce stigma, empower and promote the social reintegration of those served.
The group seeks to discuss personal and emotional issues with the guidance of trained professionals and has a partnership with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).
