Valentina Schmidt revealed that he dropped out of college after being the victim of homophobic attacks. The daughter of Tadeu Schmidtwho identifies as a queer person, said that she was constantly exposed at the educational institution.
“I had some teachers who discouraged me. One in particular made a lot of homophobic comments about me and also offensive comments about my father. I thought: ‘I’m not going to stay in an environment where I don’t feel welcome’. Even more so because I was finding another passion, which is theater. I don’t regret anything on my journey”he told O Globo.

“When I came out, it generated a huge uproar. I understood that, because of the visibility I gained for being my father’s daughter, this would end up blowing up. I did it because I was finally comfortable with myself and I wanted to show the world that I’m proud of who I am.”said.
Valentina also talked about the haters. “If it were a few years ago, I would be very upset by the comments I see on the internet, but nowadays it doesn’t faze me. I was bullied at school for a long time and I’ve dealt with all kinds of negative comments. If I could deal with That’s it, so I’m not afraid. There are comments attacking me almost every day. I get upset with what they write, yes, but I don’t let it get me down or affect the people I love.”he spoke.
“It got to a point where I couldn’t take it anymore. I never accepted injustice and always took a stand. People made fun of me for that and also for the eccentric way I dressed. I always really liked fashion and wore things that didn’t always correspond to heteronormative fashion”he said.
Currently, the presenter’s daughter is dating Chistiano Donnelly Vaz. “My parents have always been very relaxed about dating. Their priority is for me to be happy. And they liked Cris right away. They started a conversation wanting to know about his intentions and his family.”, said.
