The participant organza spoke about her trajectory to reality, in an interview with iG Queer, the artist spoke about her references and the way in which her mother inspired her to create the character.
“I usually say that I have three pillars to build Organzza. The first is the Carioca Carnival and everything that represents this great party. The second is Afrofuturism, which is an aesthetic, social and philosophical movement that contributes a lot to my aesthetics and philosophy of life with the art that I propose to create”, he said.
“And the third is my mother, who since I was a child I have looked up to in terms of beauty and also for riding, always very well dressed, with makeup, with lush hair and it was with her shoes that I learned to walk in high heels”, remembered.
Regarding the choice of its name, Organzza explained that it was inspired by a fabric of the same name: “Very fine, made of silk, expensive, exquisite, synthetic and highly flammable”
“Whenever possible, I light that fire in me, so that it drives me to achieve everything I want. I’m Taurus, with an earth sign, but I really like the analogy of fire because when it starts it doesn’t stop, it conquers everything in front of it and that’s what I work for every day, to conquer a better life for myself and for my family. my family. So, get ready, because synthetic fabric catches fire and once it starts, it doesn’t stop”, he spoke.
This is not the first contest that Organzza participates in, the artist was also present at Queens- The contest,. In the chat, the drag queen spoke about the criticism and how she deals with it.
“I know it’s very easy for us to get attached to negative comments, but I always try to do the exercise of going after positive comments. With the program, I have already received many attacks and I have some friends who ask me if they want them to answer for me and I say no, I ask them to focus on the positive comments and engage these people who are vibrating for me”, he spoke.
In addition to reality shows, Organzza is also an actor and was part of the cast of the soap opera Verão 90, on TV Globo, shown in 2019, in addition to having participated in the painting Caldeirola, from Caldeirão with Mion, also on the same broadcaster.
“In the soap opera, my participation was small, but I made a point of creating a moment so that I wouldn’t go unnoticed during the scene. It was a lot of fun and it’s a moment that I keep very fondly, who knows after the program I don’t make bigger participations or even win a character, let’s play for the universe”, said.
“At ‘Caldeirola’, I participated with my house, Casa de Cosmos, and it was a very important moment for the ballroom scene and for our community. I was able to be with my sisters, transvestites, femme Queens (as we call them in the community) on national television, on a Saturday afternoon in the homes of thousands of Brazilians, showing the reality and excellence of Ballroom artists”, completed.
“Today I am very happy to be on ‘Drag Race Brasil’ talking about the Brazilian ballroom community. Being able to talk about this on the show is very important, mainly because ‘Drag Race’ has always used many elements of culture and dances on the show, and there is even some resistance from many people in the ballroom community with ‘Drag Race’ precisely because of that” , added.
“For many people, this is the only contact with the scene and that needs to change. Organzza commented on the importance of Carnival: “Carnival is the most important moment of the year for me, in fact my year only starts after it. Rio de Janeiro has a very strong connection with funk and, being from the suburbs, I was always surrounded by funk dance, but samba is where I grew up. Because I live very close to Madureira, since I was a child I have been going to samba circles and school courts”.
She also said that since childhood she explored her femininity, without fear of being happy and stated that she never had a “moment of discovery” about her sexuality: “I was happy and lucky to have had all the support from my family to be what I wanted to be. I always wanted to be.”
“I can’t say when I ‘discovered myself’, I don’t think I was ever covered (laughs), after all I was a queer child of the 1990s and a fan of É o Tchan.
