The second place was taken by Toronto, the third – by Beijing. Also in the top ten are Milan, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Amsterdam, Paris, Jakarta and Lisbon.

Barcelona tops the list of the best cities in the world for those who want to combine a vacation with work. The list is compiled by the IWG.

Overall, the ranking includes 26 cities, evaluated on a scale from 1 to 10 in eight categories. Climate, cuisine, culture, housing and Internet speed are studied.

“We’ve selected categories that allow you to choose the best environment for working abroad and include basic living standards,” said IWG’s Darren Rogers.

Barcelona in particular scores highly for having high-speed internet and relatively affordable accommodation.

“The average cost of renting an apartment in the city is $1158 per month, while in New York, the most expensive city on the list, this amount reaches $3632 per month. A cup of coffee costs $2.68 in instead of $4.92 in Los Angeles or $4.57 in Beijing,” the statement said.

Remember that the best city in Ukraine for business was named earlier.
