In an interview with Vougue France, Dua Lipa spoke about the objectification of women in society and how gender stereotypes impact the development of young people around the world.
The singer is allied with the LGBTQIAP+ cause and has already shown support for the community in other situations.
“Homophobia and transphobia are the sisters of misogyny. Many people, deep down, are afraid of themselves. The freedom of others confronts them with what they lack the courage to express. The beauty of being free, true and proud paralyzes them”, he said.
“Today’s world is scary”, she spoke about the expectations placed on women.
“But beyond that, I believe that women have earned a place in society that was previously forbidden to them. However, has the desire to have a child disappeared? I believe that women want to pick their pace and don’t feel guilty for thinking about themselves,” continued.
“As far as I’m concerned, when the perfect time (to have kids) is, I’ll know. But in the meantime, I have other priorities, I want to continue to enjoy my youth,” added.
