The Oscar winner said she has not had surgery on her appearance, adding that she is getting older.
“People think I’ve had a facelift. They’re like, ‘What did she do to her face?’ And I was like, ‘I’m just getting old! It doesn’t mean I had bad plastic surgery. It’s just what’s happening to me,'” the actress said.
Charlize Theron also said that she accepts her natural appearance, despite pressure from the public, and that she hates the double standard that appears in phrases like “men age like fine wine, and women like plucked flowers.”
“I despise this concept and I want to fight it. But I also think that women want to grow old the way they feel is right. I think we need to be more empathetic before we all walk our paths,” added he.
Moreover, the actress admitted that she has no intention of conducting serious experiments on her body for the sake of a role in the film.
