According to the lawyer, not all new cases against the star, whose real name is Melissa Vivian Jefferson, may end up in court.
Six other former dancers of singer Lizzo have filed new charges against the artist. This was reported by NBS News.
According to the victims’ lawyer, Ron Zambrano, they have to do with a “sexually deformed environment” and non-payment of salaries to employees. At the same time, he noted that not all charges will reach the court: “Some of the statements we are considering may have grounds for considering a claim, but it is too early to discuss this.”
The first lawsuits against the star were filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court by her former dancers Arianna Davis, Noel Rodriguez and Crystal Williams. In particular, accusations of harassment, body shaming and creating a bad work environment caused disappointment among fans, which is why Lizzo lost more than 220 thousand followers on Instagram, and now their number has dropped to 13.3 million.
It’s unclear if the accusations will harm the singer, whose real name is Melissa Vivian Jefferson. Entertainment and music data analysis company Luminate said in an email that it had no impact on its sales, streaming and airplay from Tuesday to Friday.
Last year, Lizzo released her fourth album, and last month she released her single Pink, which stars Barbie and the soundtrack to this movie.
It was previously reported that Lizzo said that the allegations of her former dancers about sexual harassment are not true.
