The artist stressed that he left Ukraine legally, as he is a resident of Germany and has been living in this country for 23 years.
Ukrainian performer Oleg Vinnik tells when he actually managed to leave Ukraine. He said this in an interview on the PKK YouTube channel.
So, the 49-year-old artist admitted that he left the territory of Ukraine on the third day of a full-scale Russian invasion, adding that he helped other Ukrainians to leave the country.
“I am a citizen of Ukraine, a chronic Ukrainian, a resident of Germany – I have been living here for 23 years. I have only one foreign passport, because my internal one was taken from me in the early 2000s, when I became permanently registered at the Ukrainian embassy. I can’t, I don’t want, and I won’t tell you what happened before the war. I am a person who is responsible for my words, for my actions. I left the the 26th. And I took a lot with me,” he said.
The artist also mentioned that for many years he had a dream that predicted to him the beginning of the war.
“I saw this dream in the last 10-15 years 40 times. I only saw this moment, where I left from shelling, from explosions. And I had to go where I always do, do and do my songs”, added the singer.
In addition, Oleg Vinnik did not say why he went abroad for treatment. But he clarified that only two percent of the population suffers from this disease in Germany.
