Black Gil is in a brave fight against cancer. Sincere, the singer opened the game and spoke about the deep conversations with Gilberto Gilhis father, during treatment to cure the disease.
According to her, the singer became a great ally at the time of difficult conversations: about death.
“Death is a very taboo subject, especially in the West. Nobody talks about death. But I have a father who talks about it in a natural way. We have talked a lot”said in an interview with Marie Claire.
Preta said that she started to see death in a different way after almost dying from a case of septicemia that she suffered in March, when an infection caused by the catheter through which she received the medication almost led the artist to death.
“I really started to see death in a different way. It’s a reality that finitude can come to me faster. I’ve always been very afraid of dying, today I’m not anymore. Deep down, because I know that death won’t come now. But I’m ready” he said.
The star continued:“Over the last few years, I’ve learned to benefit from my father’s wisdom. Many things can seem frightening at first, but are revealing and transformative later on.”
