Suntory Time is not just an iconic phrase in a brilliant film, it continues to thrive in Japanese whiskey culture. Twenty years after the release of “Lost in Translation” he is still popular and reverberates around the world in relation to our world . It all started with a glass of hibiki, but now there is a “Suntory Time” for every person, every occasion and every friend we meet along the way,” the video describes.
Keanu also commented on his collaboration with the whiskey brand.
“It’s great to have the opportunity to work with directors Sofia Coppola and her brother Roman Coppola on something like a short commercial and then a documentary series. It’s a really special opportunity,” he said.
In addition, the star told how he spent his time in Japan.
“It was wonderful, really wonderful… it was an incredible opportunity to spend time with the people of Suntory, in terms of visiting the founding distillery Yamazaki and then meeting the masters blender and all the masters. I met some of the artisans, kabuki actors, calligraphers who are outsiders and can spend time with people and talk about their passions and their work,” he added.
