“If you ask me who I want to photograph, I will definitely take pictures of people who, in my opinion, are heroes and icons of our time. For example, your President Zelensky. He is cool. In I think he’s incredible,” he said.
Hugo Bernand also told how the coronation of monarchs took place. He admitted that he hardly left the Throne Room for the ceremony and was awake, because he was preparing for an important event.
After the coronation of Charles III and Camille, the photographer slept all day. However, he emphasized that it was a pleasure for him to work with His Majesty, because he is “very educated and intelligent.”
“We prepared for a very long time, and for the last four days we hardly left the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace – we set up the equipment, set up the lights and rehearsed the photo shoot. Then they took the pictures, and only then did I get enough sleep. I slept all day,” summed up Bernand.
