He is celebrating Vyshyvanka Day in Seoul, Korea, where he is scheduled to participate in the Asian Leadership Forum.

On Thursday, May 18, Ukraine celebrates Vyshyvanka Day. The President’s wife chose a stylish embroidered shirt from the Ukrainian brand Gunia Project.

The first lady’s embroidered shirt was created using the richelieu technique. Its decoration uses elements of Kosovo tiles in the 20th century. and monastic towels in the Kyiv region of the XIX century.

Also in the embroidery there is an image of the tree of life, which symbolizes fertility, the universe and protection of the family.

Zelenskaya tied the shirt with a handmade woven belt from the Gunia Project. It was inspired by an element of traditional Ukrainian clothing – the krayka.

Recall that the main state flag of Ukraine, installed on the territory of the Memorial Complex National Museum of the History of Ukraine during World War II, will be flown at half-mast today as part of events to preserve the memory of the victims of genocide of the Crimean Tatar people.
