According to the results of the first semi-final, in addition to the Let 3 group, representatives of nine other countries reached the final.
Croatian group Let 3 with the song Mama ŠČ!, which became one of the winners of the first semi-final Eurovision 2023urged to stop the war on the territory of Ukraine.
In particular, at a press conference, the band’s soloist Damir Martynovich was asked what inspired him to create a composition that talks about a freak psychopath going to war and who is shown on a tractor.
He said that with this composition, the musicians want to call for an end to a full-scale war on the territory of Ukraine. Because that’s all they want.
“Our expression has always been in some way an attempt to make this world a better place for everyone. Our somewhat silly but brilliant song is in some way an anti-war song, because we believe, we are sure that no one wins wars everyone is a victim. So please stop this damn war,” said the group’s leader.
